It was another disappointing loss for the LA Lakers as they slipped further away from the .500 mark with their fifth consecutive loss. On this occasion, their demise came at the hands of the Nets, who were led by James Harden, at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers were down by 20 points at the end of the third quarter, but their attempt at a comeback failed as the Nets successfully held them off. It ended 122-115 in favor of the James Harden-led Nets.

In the absence of Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris, Patty Mills has had to step into a starting role. Last night, the Lakers did not have an answer for the Australian as he found his spots comfortably and knocked down his shots.

Sports analyst Skip Bayless, who is well known for criticizing LeBron James, has shifted his attention a bit. As LeBron is having an incredible season, he has shifted his focus to Russell Westbrook.

Skip has come for Westbrook a lot recently, and might not be slowing down soon. After the disappointing loss to the Nets last night, Skip took to Twitter to share his two cents.

Mills had an incredible game, prompting Skip to say that he prefers him to Westbrook.

Give me Patty Mills over Russell Westbrook any night. Patty is a clutch shooter w winner's intangibles. Westbrick is a pathetic shooter and turnover machine more interested in stats than wins. The Nets held off the Lakers because they had Patty and the Lakers had Westbrick.

Although Russ had a poor shooting night (4-of-20 from the field), he did a bit of everything for the Lakers. He pushed the pace, cleaned the boards, and had some good reads which led to easy buckets. More importantly, he took better care of the ball, but his triple-double did not matter as he was not as effective in scoring the basket.

Mills finished the game with 34 points, 2 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Russ registered 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Mills' contribution made the difference for the Nets as the Lakers looked the better team coming into the game.
