Some Think LeBron James May Have Been Recruiting Kawhi To L.A. After Twitter Post

The Los Angeles Lakers disappointing 2018-2019 season is now behind them as the franchise has its eyes set on the future.

LeBron James has plenty of time on his hands this off-season which he is using it to try and recruit Kawhi Leonard to the Lakers. However, he’s been very subtle about the way he’s gone about it.

Kawhi Leonard dropped 45 points in the Raptors Game 1 win over the 76ers, this all led to LeBron tweeting a hand emoji online.

It may not seem like much on the first look at it but the emoji was clearly representing Kawhi’s nickname and logo, ‘The Claw’. Either LeBron is just admiring how talented of a player the Toronto star is or he’s making an attempt to lure him over once the postseason is finished.

Kawhi Leonard will become a free agent at the end of the postseason and many believe that he won’t stay another season in Toronto. It’s an interesting predicament that Kawhi finds himself in, the Raptors are in a potential championship window but it’s been highly speculated that the 2014 Finals MVP wants to return to Los Angeles. There’s also been speculation that the Clippers will be the preferred choice of Kawhi if he does choose to leave Toronto for L.A.

The Raptors are still in the hunt for the 2019 championship so for now, all we can do is wait.
