It’s official, the Portland Trail Blazers will be the team to challenge the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors haven’t lost a Western Conference Final for four seasons in a row but there are many people out there that believe Damien Lillard and CJ McCollum might be the Warriors biggest threat to yet another championship.

The two Portland stars have been extremely influential over the course of the series against the Denver Nuggets and they might be the perfect match for the Warriors’ splash brothers of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

However, according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, the splash brothers are going to be a ‘nightmare’ for the Blazers to control.

“You know that what time it is with him, but if there is a direct nightmare, it is a combination of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, and I don’t think that that can be ignored.” Said Smith on ESPN’s First Take.

Stephen A. Smith is predicting that the Warriors will end up winning the series whether Kevin Durant returns or not. KD is currently missing due to a calf injury, the two-time Finals MVP missed the Game 6 match against the Rockets in Houston and is still in doubt to return straight away.

It might be the perfect opportunity for the Trail Blazers to win at least one of their first two matches on the road against a Warriors team without Durant.
