Just when things couldn’t get any worse for the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry broke his hand on Wednesday night after Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes landed on him. The 2x NBA MVP sent a message to his fans making sure everything was alright with him.

Curry took to Instagram on Thursday to send a message to the Dubs nation, where he thanked everybody for all the affection he received after the unfortunate incident.

“Appreciate all the love/texts/support all that,” he wrote on an Instagram story.

"Be back soon!" he added at the bottom of the post.

The Warriors started the season facing a lot of trouble, and this Curry injury only made things worse for them. They are 1-3, and now Curry, their best player, will likely miss a big chunk of the campaign.

Before going down, Steph was averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. The sharpshooter was shooting 40.9 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors went through a summer full of changes that led plenty of people to believe they were going to have a hard time making the playoffs. Now that their biggest star is out, those chances are nearly non-existent.

It remains to be seen if the Warriors will try to trade guard D’Angelo Russell in December, when he’s eligible to be moved. They would get some assets in exchange for Russell, as they approach for this season is completely different now.
