After 7 years in the NBA, Anthony Davis has cemented himself as one of the league's top big men, averaging over 23 points and 10 rebounds over the course of his career.
But is he comparable to Tim Duncan? Former Spurs legend Stephen Jackson seems to think so, and alluded to that idea on the sports show, Reiter's Block.
It's true that Duncan and Davis have similar play styles. They do everything well, play both in the post and face-up, and are dominant in their time. Unlike Davis, however, Duncan never really experienced a prolonged period of failure in his career.
Duncan is a 15x All-Star, 2x MVP, and 6x NBA Champion. Davis, meanwhile, has never made it to an NBA Finals in his career.
In Los Angeles, AD will have the chance to dominate in new ways. But perhaps comparing him to Duncan is a bit premature, especially considering just how much he did over his tenure in San Antonio.
