The Most Important NBA Rumors: Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis And Derrick Rose

We’ve just reached the best part of the season for NBA Fans: the playoffs. However, that doesn’t mean teams aren’t already planning ahead of next season and working around the clock to get deals done.

We’re about to face an extremely interesting free agency, with players of the likes of Kemba Walker, Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson, DeMarcus Cousins, Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant set to be free agents.

Obviously, that means a lot of players are going to be on the move in order to make room for one of their signings, or even better, to try and make it more appealing for them to join their team. Today, we’ll talk about the hottest NBA news and rumors:

7. Chicago Bulls Interested In Lonzo Ball

Lonzo Ball

The Chicago Bulls were reportedly interested in trading for Lonzo Ball earlier in the season, and now that they’re still not sold on Kris Dunn as their point guard for the future, it looks like they might be interested in making a formal offer for the Big Baller.

Ball was pretty close to joining the Bulls this season, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Times, and with Chicago desperately needing an upgrade at the point guard position, this could actually happen in the summer.

6. Elton Brand Wanted To Trade Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons has been quite a controversial player since making it to the league, with his personality and attitude raising more questions over his potential than his lack of a three-point shot.

According to Chris Sheridan of the New York Daily News, Elton Brand requested to move him because he was “uncoachable”, but the team eventually dismissed his request. Brand didn’t show any kind of hesitation to move Markelle Fultz, so you know he would’ve done this as well if allowed.

5. Pelicans Hope To Keep Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis

The Anthony Davis saga looks all but done as of today, and now that the team has appointed David Griffin as their General Manager, they’re reportedly hoping to convince the All-Star to stay put at New Orleans.

Griffin told Will Guillory of The Athletic that he believes Anthony Davis is actually willing to discuss his future with the team, even though he hasn’t spoken to him yet. Still, it’s kind of unlikely given the way he and his fans have reacted about this situation.

4. Derrick Rose To Come Home With The Bulls

Derrick Rose was completely torn when the Bulls traded him to the New York Knicks a couple of years ago, but it looks like he could go full circle and find his way back to the Windy City this summer.

Rose is reportedly opening to a comeback to the Bulls as the team is looking to improve in the point guard spot, and judging for what we seen from him this season, it would be a no-brainer pick up for them. Check the top 5 best destinations for Derrick Rose this summer.

3. Knicks And Lakers To Offer Monster Packages For Anthony Davis

Kobe Bryant: "Anthony Davis Is Better Than Ingram, Lonzo And Kuzma."

The New York Knicks are going to be all-in on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving this season, but according to Nolan Jensen of Fansided’s Pelican Debrief, they could also make a huge offer for Davis surrounding Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, and three 1st-Round Picks.

As for the Lakers, the team is still keen on getting the All-Star power forward at all costs, and, according to Bobby Marks, an offer including Kyle Kuzma, point guard Lonzo Ball, their 2019 first-round draft pick, and their 2021 unprotected first-round draft pick would be enough to draw New Orlean’s attention.

2. Kawhi Leonard Still Wants To Be On The West Coast

Kahwi Leonard

The Toronto Raptors have done a hell of a job this season, and any player in the world would love to stay put up north right now with the kind of roster they’ve built and the money they could get right now.

Still, Kawhi Leonard wants to leave the team and play in the West Coast, as per ESPN’S Brian Windhorst, and not because of something the Raptors did, but just because that’s been Leonard’s desire for years.

1. Kevin Durant To Leave The Warriors

Kevin Durant

It looks like there’s just no chance that Kevin Durant will resign with the Golden State Warriors in the summer regardless of what happens in the playoffs, according to Tim Kawakami of The Athletic.

Durant is going to test the market in free agency and, while the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers are likely to pursue him, he’s still fully expected to sign with the New York Knicks, especially if they also get Kyrie Irving.
