The Spurs Have Revealed Their Price To The 76ers For Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi has wanted out of Spurs for a while now since many incidents with teammates, medical staff and conflict with teammates. He is interested in joining his hometown LA to join forces with the Lakers. However, Kawhi could see himself at Philadelphia with Spurs being interested some of their assets.

In exchange for Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs asked the 76ers for three future first-round draft choices and two current players, per a source familiar with the negotiations. Source would not comment yet on which current players SA asked for.

The two potential players Spurs are targeting for could be Dario Saric and Robert Covington. Both are promising shooters from the 3-point range which Spurs could definitely utilize. Markelle Fultz may be another target for the Spurs but 76ers aren’t too keen on getting rid of their 2017 first round pick.

The Spurs could see a lineup of Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and LaMarcus Aldridge. Even though they’re losing their franchise player, they can still be quite relevant with the new young talent led by their all-star Aldridge and future draft picks to set themselves up for the future

Adding the 2x Defensive player of the year Leonard to a core of young stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons would be a big threat in the east. Setting themselves up for a big chance at the finals to take down the defending champions, Golden State Warriors.
