The Top 4 Points Per Game Leaders In Their 19th NBA Season Are All Lakers

Playing at a consistent level in the hardest basketball league in the world is not everyone's cup of tea. But a few players have proved how well they have taken care of their bodies to play 18 or even 19 seasons in the league.

The most recent example can be taken from Los Angeles Lakers forwards LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Despite the two stars being in the 19th season of their careers, they are still valuable assets to their teams.

While James is still considered as one of the best players in the league, Melo has embraced his role as a role player. The result? The Lakers are an excellent team with numerous veterans at their disposal. Although they have had a slow start to the season, if they keep playing at the current level they can still turn the season around.

Anyway, today we are not here to talk about the current season of the purple and gold. Instead, our focus is on four NBA players who have at least once worn the jersey of the L.A. Lakers and hold a unique record to their name.

As per a post by the Instagram page "Lakers All Day Everyday" the top four players who have averaged the most points in the 19th season of their careers have all belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers.

As you can see the players in the above-mentioned post are LeBron James (24.8 PPG), Kobe Bryant (22.3 PPG), Carmelo Anthony (17.2 PPG), and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (14.6 PPG).

It takes a tremendous amount of talent to not only play for 19 years in the NBA but still be a valuable player to the team. The aforementioned stars have proved that it can be done if they work hard throughout their careers.

If Bron and Melo can stay healthy for the entire 2021-22 NBA season, their tallies are bound to increase. Maybe if all goes well, they could play in the league for at least a couple of years as well.
