Scottie Pippen is a Top-50 player of All-Time. As a 7x All-Star, 6x NBA Champion, and first-ballot Hall-of-Famer, there are few who can match his NBA resume.

Might a relative have a chance?

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors picked up Scottie's nephew, Kavion Pippen on a non-guaranteed deal. The 22-year-old undrafted center is expected to serve as a stopgap for the team until their roster gets healthy.

Kavion is a 6-foot-10 big man that should fit seamlessly in the Warriors’ system. He played two seasons at Southern Illinois before going undrafted in the 2019 Draft. He averaged 12.8 points,5.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.0 blocks in his final year of college basketball.

He is not currently a long-term part of the team's plan, but this stint with Golden State could open the door to other opportunities around the league.

It will be interesting to see how the Warriors use him. With injuries to Willie Cauley-Stein and Kevin Looney, he will be asked to hold down the fort and work under the rim. Hopefully, Mr. Pippen is able to answer the call.
