This Interview From 2013 May Have Just Killed The Miami Heat's Chance At Trading For Jimmy Butler

It's been almost a week since reports came out that Jimmy Butler was unhappy playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and in that short span, we've had multiple rumors surface suggesting Butler and head coach Tom Thibodeau are trying to hash things out for Butler to continue playing for the Wolves for the remainder of his contract, all the way through to Jimmy will be traded by the end of the week at the latest.

Multiple teams have expressed interest in the All-Star shooting guard, with the likes of the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat all trying to trade for Butler before the start of the upcoming regular season. But a magazine interview from 2013 may have dashed the hopes of one of those teams.

An old sit-down interview Jimmy Butler did with the Chicago Splash in 2013 has resurfaced on Reddit this week, and one of the answers Butler gave to one of the questions may see the Miami Heat pull out of trade talks.

There still is a speck of hope for Heat fans however, as this interview came right when the Miami Heat -- led by the big three of LeBron, Wade and Bosh -- and the Chicago Bulls were in the middle of a four-year-long rivalry, so it comes as no surprise that Butler, playing for Chicago back then, would answer that way.
