To say that a player enterting his second year is already reaching superstardom would be calling it way too early in most cases.
For Utah Jazz Sophmore Donovan Mitchell, he might actually be the rare case that it's not.
As pointed out by The Ringer'sD.J. Foster, Mitchell is currently shooting 63.7% at the rim... a mark that is higher than Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade, and even LeBron James.
Obviously, it's unlikely that Mitchell's number will stay that way, but to put those number up during his Rookie campaign? That's just unheard of.
For this upcoming season, the Jazz are expected to be one of the more interesting teams in the West. With the acquisition of Grayson Allen, coupled with another year of experience, they should live up to those expectations.
Of course, no matter what else happens, they can only go as far as Donovan Mitchell takes them.
