Tobias Harris Reacts To Fan Calling Picture Of 76ers Teammates At His Wedding The ‘KD Trade Package’

The Philadelphia 76ers had gone through years of rebuilding until they realized a duo of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid could lead the team to good fortunes again. After a few playoff exits and attempts to go all-in by acquiring various stars like Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick, Tobias Harris, Al Horford, etc., the 76ers finally had to break the duo up.

Simmons was replaced by a more dynamic guard in former MVP James Harden, opening up more space on the inside for Embiid. However, the team is still lacking the ingredients to make it a bonafide championship contender. The same could be because the team has Tobias Harris on a max contract, with the player not giving the team adequate production.

Rumors of KD being interested in a trade to Philadelphia have emerged, to which the fans have been buzzing. As the rumors grew, the 76ers posted a picture of Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and Furkan Korkmaz at Tobias Harris’s wedding. A fan called the picture ‘the KD trade package’, a comment that even got a reaction from Harris himself.

Tobias wouldn’t have enjoyed reading a comment that says he is going to get traded on the day of his wedding, but his reaction shows he took it as a joke.

With the need to trade KD increasing in Brooklyn, the 76ers are a good partner to consider. They did already trade James Harden to them, so the team may be hesitant to give Daryl Morey their other star player after his pursuit of an under-contract Harden last season.

Harris is a solid NBA player but has a hard time living up to his $38 million price tag. The 76ers could spend that money around on different players, and if they can flip that contract into Durant, they’ll be more than happy to do so, even if it means they lose depth and young players like Maxey and Thybulle.
