Warriors Rumors: Durant Not Expected To Re-Sign Regardless Of Playoff Result

In a report by Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, he reveale dthe latest on the KD rumors.

"Most people in the NBA don't expect (Kevin) Durant to re-sign with the Warriors no matter what happens in the playoffs."

Kawakami suggested Durant's teammates are essentially attempting to overlook that issue in an attempt to remain focused on trying to win the title this season. As they embark on their quest to win their third straight, they will need all hands on deck -- especially Durant's.

They all know this could be their last run together.

Besides Golden State, the Knicks, Clippers, and Lakers will be in heavy pursuit of his services come free agency, and he is expected to take these teams very seriously. More so than the others though, the Knicks appear destined to acquire the 10x All-Star, as their team has been associated with him for the past few months now.

New York is the perfect place to revive his reputation, and with enough assets and cap space to bring other guys with him, he likely will not be headed there alone.

So, win or loss for the Warriors this postseason, there is little they can do to convince their big star to stay on for another few years.
