Zion Williamson is ready to return to action and he sent a message to his rivals ahead of the NBA resumption next July 30. The New Orleans Pelicans rookie sensation was having a terrific season before the NBA suspended the campaign due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Now the league is set to return at the end of the month and all the players are getting ready to take their teams to the promised land. Zion isn't the exception and he's working to be as sharp as possible once the league returns. The young forward has been working on his game and he warned everybody that he's about to show things nobody saw before.

He came back from an injury earlier this year, showing some improvements in his game. He actually could shoot from deep but that doesn't seem to be the end for this guy.

“It just felt like I was 5 years old again. Just went back to square one, tried to get my body where it needs to be, get my fundamentals back to square one and start from there. So yeah, it was just like starting over at 5 again. It was a great process to learn it all over.” He said, via ESPN. “Yeah, I think there are going to be parts of my game that you didn’t see before that you’ll see when we start playing.”

The Pelicans have a very talented core that includes Zion, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and JJ Redick. This kid is something special and he's ready to leave his mark on the league. There are huge expectations about him and instead of fearing them, Zion has embraced them. He's ready to become the face of the league.

Zion came back to the basics and he's not afraid of the challenge. He wants to be great and he's working on that every day.
