The Los Angeles Clippers had one of the best free agencies we've ever seen. They signed Kawhi Leonard and also traded for Paul George. That should've let everybody know they were for real this time.

But if that wasn't enough, Steve Ballmer and Doc Rivers just doubled down on their bet for this season, as they've just completed a three-team trade that'll get them both Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Thomas would be on the move in return for Jerome Robinson, while Moe Harkless and their 2020 first-round pick will head to New York:

"The Clippers, Knicks and Wizards have agreed to a three-team trade that will land Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas with the Clippers, league sources tell ESPN. Jerome Robinson will join the Wizards, Moe Harkless and a 2020 first-round pick to the Knicks," Woj tweeted.

The Clippers beat the Lakers on their pursuit for Morris, as Rob Pelinka was reluctant to include Kyle Kuzma on any trade package for the veteran wing.

Washington, on the other hand, also traded Jordan McRae to the Denver Nuggets and landed Shabazz Napier instead, who'll compete with Ish Smith for the starting point guard spot.

The Clippers have now upgraded their point guard position, at least in terms of scoring, as Thomas will provide a much-needed offensive spark and playmaking they've lacked thus far.

Morris will get them another versatile wing that can play both forward spots and even some center on small-ball sets. Also, his physical presence in the post will make them even a scarier defensive juggernaut, not to mention his ability to knock down shots.

This season, he posted career-high averages of 19.6 points, and 5.4 rebounds, while Thomas averaged 12.2 points, and 3.7 dimes per game.

The Clippers are for real this time, and perhaps they just become the biggest favorite to win it all thit season.
