New Orleans superstar Anthony Davis has been the subject of a plethora of trade rumors since he made his displeasure with the Pelicans known earlier this year. Following his trade request, a number of teams jumped at the chance to make a deal.

The Lakers have been among the most aggressive, and at one point even tried to offer nearly half their roster in a potential Davis trade.

Months later, the Lakers remain focused on acquiring A.D., and might even get a third team involved to improve their chances.

However, if the Lakers wound up with an All-Star point guard like Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker in free agency, it’s possible — if not likely — that Ball would become available and at that point, the Bulls’ interest would become more relevant.

If the Bulls still wanted Ball, they could use the No. 7 overall pick and a future draft pick to help the Lakers facilitate a trade for Anthony Davis, who, ironically, is a Chicago native.

In the article, Christian Rivas proposes a three-team deal that would send Lonzo to the Bulls, Antony Davis to the Lakers, and a package of Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Moritz Wagner, Kris Dunn, the No. 4 pick, the No. 7 pick (via CHI) and two future first-round picks to the Pelicans.

New Orleans would get an insanely rich return in the deal, but that is likely what it would take for them to strike a deal with L.A. As for the Bulls, they would end up with a solid two-way point guard to add to their stockpile of young assets.

This kind of trade is one profitable to all sides, and should earn some significant consideration come trade season.
