It wasn't more than a few months ago that the Bulls offered then free-agent Jabari Parker a two-year, $40 million contract. An offer which Parker took.
As things typically go for the Bulls, that deal is something both sides have come to regret.
Somehow, in a report that came out earlier this week, it was announced that Parker would be pulled from the regular season rotation. It was a move that shocked many because it came just 29 games into the season.
Anyway, the decision obviously came with the expectation that the Bulls wouldn't extend the contract, which is a team option. But in an attempt to get something back for him, the team is looking to make a deal now.
Despite a disappointing start, Parker still has a lot to bring to an NBA team.
He's a young, talented, athletic scoring forward, that doesn't seem to cause trouble in the locker room.
At this point, he's all but gone from Chicago, a chapter of his roller-coaster NBA career that he's sure to forget.
