The Boston Celtics had a roller coaster offseason this summer, following the departure of Kyrie Irving and Al Horford with the signings of Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter.

But could they be gearing up for another big move?

According to Brad Botkin of CBS Sports, the Celtics could explore the possibility of trading 29-year-old star, Gordon Hayward.

“Would Orlando move off Mo Bamba and Evan Fournier to make the money work for a rejuvenated Hayward? That would make for a good team in Orlando, and the Celtics would get an immediate need and future building block in Bamba, with Fournier to replicate Hayward’s production."

Gordon Hayward had, perhaps, the worst season of his career, averaging just 11.5 points per game on 46% shooting. With the Magic, the All-Star would get a chance to re-start on a fresh team -- and a young one at that.

As for Boston, they would continue their theme of developing young stars. Bamba would join Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in the starting lineup. Despite their youth movement, they are expected to be amongst the elite teams in the East this season.
