DeMar DeRozan And Bradley Beal Could Be Trade Targets For The Lakers This Summer

As pointed out by numerous inside sources, the Lakers stand a good chance at striking out on all the summer's top free agents. The recent debacle that has transpired in Lakers ownership has not helped the situation either, making the team an all-out mess in the months leading up to the free agency.

Thus, as Brian Windhorst points out, they will have to look at the trade market to get things done. Might Bradley Beal or DeMar DeRozan be a possibility?

“I think the Lakers really have to look at the trade market. How willing would they be to move that No. 4 pick? Would they be willing to make an offer for Bradley Beal? Would they be willing to make an offer for a guy like DeMar DeRozan, who possibly could be on the trade block depending on whether the Spurs want to extend his contract.”

The Lakers would obviously love to have a guy like Kyrie Irving or Kawhi Leonard to pair alongside LeBron, but with multiple other teams in the lead for their services, they will likely find themselves missing out.

DeRozan and Beal would be a good place to start for L.A., and they might even have enough left over to make a trade for Anthony Davis as well. Either way, do not expect the Lakers to stand PAT this summer -- they will be doing whatever they can to pair LeBron James with a winning cast.
