Rumors of which destination All-Star Jimmy Butler could be heading to via trade have been all over the internet this week after Butler's trade request was made public.
The Miami Heat quickly emerged as front-runners for Butler's services, and apparently the feeling was mutual. However, the Timberwolves and Heat haven't managed to find a middle ground during negotiations, with the Wolves asking far too steep a price in return for Jimmy.
Because talks have stalled, another team has joined the race for Butler, with the Houston Rockets now in the hunt according to sources.
After finishing as the first seed in the West last season, and coming with in a game of their first NBA Finals appearance since the 1990's, the Houston Rockets are already an elite NBA team, led by MVP James Harden and Chris Paul, with Carmelo Anthony coming off the bench. Adding another All-Star in the form of Jimmy Butler to that equation may just be the roster move the Rockets need to make to finally get over the hump that is the Golden State Warriors.
