The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the biggest surprises this season with an 18-13 record and 4th place standing in the Western Conference. With LeBron James, they have only one goal: to win the NBA Championship.

James has an MVP season, averaging 28.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.0 assists so far. With Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, Lakers have a young starting lineup, but they need an upgrade for a few positions.

Just a month ago, LeBron James comments on Carmelo joining the Lakers, but he didn't really provide much of a response.

I have no idea to be honest, that’s not a question to ask me. Right now, we have 15 rosters spots right? We don’t have a roster spot open right now so that’s not a question for myself.

Today, after they lost against the Nets, he reveals that he has always wanted to play with Carmelo Anthony.

That is big news because Houston Rockets will trade Carmelo and maybe the Lakers are the next destination for one of the best scorers of the last 20 years.

Last night, in a report by TMZ Sports, Carmelo Anthony was seen leaving the Quality Italian steakhouse with none other than LeBron James on Monday night, before the Lakers tipped off against the Nets on Tuesday.

Carmelo Anthony would be a great addition for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he must play defense and his role would be different than so far in his career.

Also, you can check 5 destinations where it would be great to see Carmelo, even though the Lakers are probably his next destination.
