Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis have made the Mavs legitimate contenders in the Western Conference. A surprise team of the year, they are taking the league by storm with a 17-8 record and 3rd place standing in the West.
Interestingly enough, and to the fear of the rest of the NBA, the Mavericks are looking for another piece to complete their puzzle. According to ESPN NBA insiders Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe, they are specifically on the hunt for a star big man to pair with Kristaps.
Their gameplan is clear: to bolster their size, rebounding, and defense around the rim. In those categories, they are right to consider Harrel and Drummond -- two of the best traditional bigs in the game.
The question is if these players are even available -- and if they are, are the Mavericks willing to pay the price?
It will be interesting to see what transpires in the weeks leading up to February's trade deadline.
