The Golden State Warriors are in a great position right now. They're entitled to the 2nd overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, plus will have their core back at full strength.
Some insiders believe they're ready to give up on that pick to land another All-Star. That's a scary thought if we consider that they'll have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Eric Paschall running and gunning.
And, according to NBC Sports' Tom Haberstroh, they've already put together a trade package to land Bradley Beal this offseason:
"The Warriors certainly have the package to get the deal done. But I wonder if the Wizards want to see Brad Beal next to John Wall and potentially Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant next season. The Golden State Warriors would absolutely thrive with Brad Beal. [He] is an amazing shooter and a guy that gets to the rack and gets free throws, kind of like James Harden, but just younger, I think that's the ceiling you have," Haberstroh claimed.
Beal is coming off an outstanding season, averaging 30.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game and his sharpshooting skills would be quite welcome at the Bay area.
He's by no means the defender Kevin Durant is but adding a 30+ point-per-game kind of scorer to the Warriors could certainly turn them back into the deadliest offense in the league right away.
