According to everyone’s favorite NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, the Phoenix Suns could get themselves involved with the Jimmy Butler scenario in order to chase a starting point guard to beef up their starting 5 and make a run for the Playoffs.
According to the sources If the Minnesota Timberwolves trade for Goran Dragic in Miami now that Butler has reportedly said he wants to play in South Beach then that could leave Jeff Teague open for the Suns to pursue. Dragic was an All-Star last season and is a better shooter than Teague meaning more room for Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins to get to the rim.
The Suns are in desperate need of some positivity given that they haven’t made the Playoffs since 2018. They do have hope this season though as Devin Booker will better along with Josh Jackson and TJ Warren. I also think that DeAndre Ayton will be the Rookie of the Year. He’s very athletic, can shoot the mid-range jumper and hit 73.3% of his free-throws in his one season at Arizona.
Teague is a former All-Star who averaged 14.2 points and 7 assists last season. He would be a great partner for the gunslinger that is Devin Booker. This Jimmy Butler fiasco is getting juicier by the day.
