It’s not a secret that Lonzo Ball isn’t having his best time with the New Orleans Pelicans, and the team could be looking for potential trade partners for the point guard. Even though he was involved in the blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, Lonzo could be once again on the move.

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Pelicans could make the 22-year-old man available for the right offer, as he stated on The Hoop Collective podcast. Despite being considered a good team with the potential to make some noise in the league, the Pels aren’t going through a good moment after a 7-22 start to the season.

This has led to the possibility of moving guard Jrue Holiday, while the team has dissuaded talks about trading JJ Redick. Apparently, Brandon Ingram and rookie Zion Williamson are “untouchable” by the organization, but plenty of changes could take place in the next weeks, including a potential change from Alvin Gentry as head coach.

Things looked very promising for Bal during the preseason; he changed his jump shot, but that hasn’t translated into a good season. Right now he’s averaging 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in his third year.

His 3-point shot and free-throw percentage have suffered a slight improvement, but that doesn’t seem enough for him to remain with the Pelicans after his rookie contract expires.

Yet, NOLA won’t let him go just like that, as they would expect a good return for a young asset.
