NBA Rumors: Sacramento Kings Could Trade De'Aaron Fox Or Tyrese Haliburton In "The Right Deal"

The Sacramento Kings are a team that has a lot of talented guards. They just drafted Davion Mitchell in the 2021 NBA Draft and had De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton on the roster before that. They also have one of the best shooters in the NBA in Buddy Hield.

Despite the fact that all of their guards are good basketball players, the Sacramento Kings are reportedly open to making a move involving some of their guards. According to Kyle Neubeck of The Philly Voice, De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton are "available in the right deals".

Sacramento is now reportedly open to making De’Aaron Fox and/or Tyrese Haliburton available in the right deals, and those aren’t equal propositions for Philadelphia.

Seeing De'Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton (or both) go would certainly hurt for Sacramento Kings fans. However, perhaps it could be beneficial for the Sacramento Kings to get players that fit better positionally, as their 3 guard system often leaves them with a lack of size defensively. With that being said, it is unclear what sort of deal would get the Sacramento Kings to part way with either of the two. It would likely have to be a trade that they couldn't refuse. Fox and Haliburton are a solid backcourt together. Developing the duo and letting them grow together could be a good move as well.

Regardless of what move the Sacramento Kings end up doing, something has to change. They are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference, and while they could still make the play-in tournament, they have lost 4 of their last 5 games. Coach Alvin Gentry has already expressed his frustration with the Kings roster in the past, and a change could help them improve. Hopefully, we see them break their playoff drought sooner rather than later.
