The Celtics have to wait to trade for Anthony Davis, but their package might very well be worth the wait.
So far, reports have indicated that nobody has been able to match up to New Orleans' expectations on the trade market for Anthony Davis. With the deadline less than an hour away, the team has felt "unimpressed" by the deals offered so far.
There's only one team, the Celtics, that can give them what they seek. And, as released by Real GM, their trade package is almost unbeatable.
The Boston Celtics are expected to offer a trade package to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis this offseason built around Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams and up to three first round picks.
This gives the Pelicans basically everything they could want. Picks, young guys, and a borderline All-Star center that could make things bearable through the rebuilding years or be used as a trade piece later.
The Lakers, even after their so-called "mega offer" would have a tough time selling New Orleans that their deal is better.
Anything can happen between now and July, so there's no telling how things might change. But, for now, it appears the Celtics are completely in the driver's seat to snag A.D. this coming summer.
