NBA Trade Rumors: Jimmy Butler to the L.A Lakers?

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly in talks with the L.A Lakers about a deal involving All-Star small forward - Jimmy Butler.

The Bulls are said to have begun talks with the Lakers yesterday after the L.A Lakers trade talks with the Sacramento Kings came to an end over All-Star weekend.

The Kings and Lakers were in talks over the past few days about a deal involving DeMarcus Cousins being dealt to Los Angeles but reports suggest that the deal fell through as the L.A Lakers would not give up their rookie small forward, Brandon Ingram, in the deal.

The Bulls Star forward, Jimmy Butler, has averaged 24.5 ppg, 5 apg and 6.3 rpg so far this season and has been great for the Chicago Bulls. This has led to the L.A Lakers being very interested in him.

It’s no surprise that the Lakers are on the hunt for a ’Superstar’ player. Butler has been in trade talks a lot this season since December as the Bulls haven’t lived up to people’s expectations this year so Jimmy Butler could be the Lakers perfect target.

The Bulls are currently 28W-29L so far this season and sit in the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago have talked about a rebuilding process for quite some time now. At the moment there seem to be some chemistry problems within the team with players like Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler being involved in the media a lot so now could be the perfect time for the Bulls to trade away Butler and begin rebuilding for the future.

Lou Williams, Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson have all been included in the trade talks with Butler and the Chicago Bulls. Michael Carter Williams is also another player that the L.A Lakers are said to be interested in so we could see a package sending both Jimmy Butler and Michael Carter Williams to Los Angeles in exchange for Randle, Clarkson and Williams.

This is a trade that both teams seem very excited about so we could see a deal being completed in the next day or two, right before the trade deadline.
