The Pelicans just got a ginormous haul for Anthony Davis from the Lakers. But according to one report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, they might not be done yet.
According to Woj, the 2019 4th pick that the Lakers gave up in the Davis trade is getting some significant interest by other teams around the league.
The Pels acquired a staggering amount of picks and young assets in the AD trade to pair with some players they already had. While this fourth pick will not bring them a guy like RJ Barrett, it might be enough to acquire an established All-Star to lead New Orleans through the youth movement. Kevin Love? Gordon Hayward? Bradley Beal? The possibilities are endless.
Yet, for the Pelicans to have any hope of moving into Championship contender status, they will have to practice patience as wisdom as they make moves for future seasons to come. As we have come to learn in the NBA, just having a bunch of talented names on the roster is not good enough to get the job done.
