The Washington Wizards are in big trouble as the side has won just 5 of their first 16 games, the Wizards are now facing the possibility of starting a full rebuild if things can’t turn around. There’s plenty of talent on the side with John Wall and Bradley Beal but the two are having clear chemistry problems within the organization.
This team chemistry issue that the Wizards are currently having is causing a lot of possible trade rumors involving Both Wall and Beal.
John Wall To The Phoenix Suns
One team that has been linked to the Wizards guard John Wall is the Phoenix Suns who are also currently struggling a lot. The Suns have been linked to Wall for a long time now with the franchise really needing a point guard that can score and pass well. With the addition of Wall, the Suns would be able to use the guard as an excellent pick and roll type of player which would benefit players such as Booker and Ayton who don’t have that kind of teammate right now.
A possible trade package for John Wall would be for the Suns to trade TJ Warren, Josh Jackson along with a future 1st and 2nd round pick. It’s certainly a risk for the Wizards but with the side in disaster mode, it might be best for the franchise to considering a trade like this and consider tanking the rest of the season to get a future lottery pick. Josh Jackson is also one of the best young defenders which is something the Wizards could really use right now.
Bradley Beal To The Charlotte Hornets
As for Bradley Beal, the shooting guard has been recently linked to the Charlotte Hornets. Beal has had a fairly disappointing season considering his usual standards, the guard is averaging a still pretty impressive 21.5 points a game. This just shows how big of a presence that Bradley Beal can be when it comes to scoring which is just what the Hornets are looking for.
Michael Jordan has already declared that he has no intentions of trading Kemba Walker, but the Hornets still need a second shooter to become a more dominant team. By adding Bradley Beal to the mix, the Hornets would have two main shooters and arguably what’s more important is that Beal doesn’t demand too much of the ball and still manages to be one of the best shooters in the league.
According to Spancer Percy, Charlotte Hornets want Bradley Beal.
Maybe the best trade package the Hornets could offer the Wizards for Beal is Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, Malik Monk and a future second-round pick. It all comes down to whether the Wizards are willing to admit that they need to start over and rebuild or if the franchise believes it can turn things around on and off the court with both Beal and Wall remaining on their roster.
The longer the two stay in Washington, the more attention they’re going to receive by the media and rival clubs. The two players have been great servants for Washington but it looks as if they both need a fresh start elsewhere.
