Since being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in the summer of 2019, Andre Iguodala has yet to take the court this season.
As he awaits a buyout or trade from his current team, multiple franchises have emerged as contenders for the 3x NBA Champion.
Among them is the L.A. Clippers who, per ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, have been named as frontrunners to land him.
Following the arrival of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clips went from fringe playoff team to instant Championship contender. With a 22-10 record, they have gotten off to a decent start this campaign, good enough for 4th in the West.
Still, the competition is steep, and the Clippers will have to beat out a number of dominant teams to reach their goals.
Iguodala is a guy that would have an immediate impact on the team. His two-sided game, veteran leadership, and playmaking abilities will be valuable for them, especially alongside two of the best wing players in the game.
Last year, in Golden State, Andre averaged 12 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game on 46% shooting.
To get him, L.A. would seemingly have to trade for him. The Grizzlies have made it clear that they do not intend to let him go for nothing. It will be interesting to see what kind of package they ca muster up.
