Okay, if this happens, I am officially petioning to shut the NBA down next season.
Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is due to hit free agency this offseason -- that is, if he declines his player option, which is looking more than likely -- and almost every team in the NBA has been preparing their pitch to try and sign LeBron.
Yes, that even includes the Golden State Warriors, the team LeBron has faced in the Finals for the past four consecutive seasons.
According to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, LeBron James will -- along with the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers -- 'have a conversation' with the Warriors this summer.
Smith also states that the Warriors are more than confident that Kevin Durant will resign with the team.
Obviously, just because LeBron is willing to sit down and speak with the Warriors' brass, that in no way means he's considering actually signing with them. For all we know, he may just want to get some insider information from Boy Myers and the crew before heading someone else so he has a better chance to beat them in the Finals.
BUT IF IT DOES HAPPEN... Adam Silver surely has to intervene. Surely.
