The question for the Lakers in all of these A.D. trade rumors: how much are they willing to give up?
We've heard conflicting reports about just how much f their young core they want to offer, but we don't have to guess anymore. Thanks to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, we know what the Lakeshow offered the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. And, just as it was the case for Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, it's underwhelming.
For a guy like Anthony Davis, who the Lakers have been pursuing for some time, it's going to take almost everything to trade for him. Even though Davis only has one year left on his deal, and seems to be angling his way to Los Angeles, the Lakers aren't the only team willing to trade for him. They're going to have to step up their game.
It'll likely take the sum of Kuzma, Ball, Ingram, and Hart with multiple first round picks to get the job done. Obviously, Rob Pelinka seems to be playing hardball here, but are the Lakers really willing to wait on the summer for Davis?
If they continue to hold back, they'll have no choice.
