Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is still the player who scored most points in a career. Exactly 38.387. He was one of the most dominant players in the whole NBA history. He won 6 MVP titles and 6 NBA Championships. He played during his twenty-year career in Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles. You all know him, but what people know less is his acting career. He played in 4 movies and 18 TV-series. He also produced one movie on his own, besides documentaries about him.

On the beginning of his career, he got an offer to act in a movie with a Kung Fu star Bruce Lee. He accepted it and two of them made one of the most remarkable scenes in fighting movies history. Bruce Lee played a role of Hai Tien, a retired champion martial artist who was confronted by the Korean underworld gangs. He refused to join them and they kidnapped his younger brother and sister. Then he went to the pagoda, a tiered tower with multiple eaves, where the gang kept his relatives.

Then he fought with every guardian and on the 5th floor he found Kareem or Mantis, the 5th floor Guardian. He was so strong and high, with long arms. Bruce Lee hasn't a solution for him because Abdul-Jabbar's character has great size and strength in addition to a fighting style as potent as Lee's, he can only be defeated once Hai recognizes that an unusually high sensitivity to light is his greatest weakness. At the end, Bruce Lee killed Kareem and went further.

This scene is legendary even today. It is an example of the movie industry in the 1970s. Kareem besides his basketball career succeeded to achieve so many things in the movie industry. He also wrote a couple of books and he is also fighting for raising awareness of cancer because he also suffers from it. What do you think of this scene and should the producer of Space Jam 1 and Space Jam 2 invite Kareem to act in?
