Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen against Rookie T-Mac!

This clash happened at the end of 1997-1998 NBA Season. On the one side, there was Chicago Bulls with Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr, Luc Longley and one and only Michael Jordan. On the other side, there was Toronto Raptors with Chancey Billups, Doug Christie, Reggie Slater, John Wallace and rookie Tracy McGrady.

T-Mac was drafted on NBA 1997 Draft Night as the 9th pick. That first year was a disaster for him. He played a little and slept a lot, up to 20 hours a day. But everything changed next year when Toronto drafted Vince Carter, his cousin. Toronto Raptors results improved. From 16 wins in 82 games they went to 27 wins in 50 games(NBA lockout). Carter and McGrady became known for their athleticism and monstrous dunks and great performances. They were together all the time and became inseparable.

"They say they're cousins... But Siamese twins is more like it." - Dee Brown on T-Mac's and Vince's relationship.

Later Tracy McGrady signed for Magic in 2000, because of Carter dominance in the team and playing in his shadow, but that's for some other article. Let's go to the Bulls.

I don't need to say anything about the Bulls during the MJ's time. You all know everything. That season was very successful for them because they won 3rd straight NBA Championship and completed their second three-peat with a win over the John Stockton's and Karl Malone's Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals.

Chicago won 62 games and finished 1st in the Eastern Conference. Michael Jordan averaged 28.7 points during the Regular Season playing most minutes for the Bulls from the entire roster. He was the absolute beast. He improved his stats in the NBA Playoffs adding 32.4 points per game and playing 41.5 minutes per game. For all other stuff, there was Scottie Pippen. He was the top passer, stealer, blocker and 2nd rebounder during the 1998 NBA Playoffs!

This game hasn't some competitive charge because this was the end of Regular Season and both teams knew that they will play or not in the playoff. Chicago won 102-100 with 33 points from both Pippen and Jordan. Marcus Camby and John Wallace added 23 and 26 and T-Mac added 12 points with one sick tomahawk dunk!
