After the Bulls signed Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo, with Jimmy Butler they have one of the best backcourts in the league.
Although nothing has been confirmed regarding the availability of the Sacramento Kings‘ All-Star center, many believe that Cousins can be had in the right trade, and for the right price. The Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics could all be in the running for the most talented big man in the NBA. Thanks to a few revelations, the Bulls have as good of a shot as any team currently monitoring DeMarcus Cousins’ name.
Chicago Bulls, after they lost Pau Gasol, have an open spot for the big man, and they should try to add another superstar in their roster.
What could they offer to Sacramento Kings?
Nikola Mirotic, Taj Gibson and Bobby Portis could be a right package for DeMarcus Cousins.
Chicago Bulls have a plan for Bobby Portis, but if they could get Cousins, they will immediately change the strategy, because Cousins is the best big man in the league.
Starting lineup could be one of the strongest in the NBA: Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler, DeMarcus Cousins and Robin Lopez.
DeMarcus Cousins had a great relationship with Rajon Rondo on the court.
“This dude makes my job so much easier on a nightly basis,” Cousins said. “Throughout my career, this probably is the most easy baskets I’ve ever got. He just makes my job so much easier.”
Dwyane Wade could also make his job easier after pick and roll and with Jimmy Butler on the court, DeMarcus Cousins will get a space in the paint and who can stop him 1-on-1?
The problem could be shot from the downtown, because these three players (Rondo, Wade and Butlers) are not so good, but they could use more pick and roll with Cousins and score from the distance.
With him, Chicago Bulls will have a super team, maybe like Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant. Of course, the Warriors are stronger than the Bulls, because they played two years in the NBA Finals, but Chicago will have a superb lineup for the Eastern Conference.
They could play against LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers. And the Bulls will be stronger than Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks with the interesting squad: Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah.
Chicago Bulls should take a risk and try to get DeMarcus Cousins. The last time they won a title was with Michael Jordan 18 years ago. How many years fans should wait for the NBA Finals, at least?
However, after six NBA seasons, Cousins still didn't play in the playoffs and if we are analyzing the Western Conference, the Kings could miss another one, because we could count eight better teams than Sacramento.
Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves, they are all stronger than Sacramento Kings. And I didn't even mention Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz.
DeMarcus Cousins averaged 26.9 PPG, 11.5 RPG and 1.4 BLKPG, and he doesn't want to spend another year without an NBA Playoffs. After Rajon Rondo left the team, Rudy Gay could be the next who will leave the Sacramento Kings.
The big question is, will DeMarcus Cousins be with the Kings next season. If he is, will he finish the year out with the Kings? I don't think so.
Vlade Divac will probably try to get young players or top picks, and the Kings will start with the rebuilding as soon as possible.
What do you think, where will play DeMarcus Cousins next season?
