NBA Rumors: Russell Westbrook in Miami Heat?

Russell Westbrook

After Boston Celtics and San Antonio Spurs, everyone talks about the Miami Heat and Russell Westbrook.

Pat Riley is a legend and we already know that he is one of the most powerful people in the NBA. His plan is to have the marvelous combination in the NBA, Russell Westbrook and Hassan Whiteside.

Miami Heat lost their best player in the franchise history, Dwyane Wade, after 13 years. They need a superstar to play with Hassan Whiteside and Russell Westbrook (free agent next season) is the best solution right now.

He played with Kevin Durant and they shared the ball, but in Miami, he can control the offense and play unlimited pick and roll with Hassan Whiteside, who is the top 5 center in the NBA right now with DeMarcus Cousins, Marc Gasol, DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond.

In the last 2 years, Miami Heat lost LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. They must take a risk and try to make a comeback in the NBA Finals as soon as possible.

Russell Westbrook is a tremendous player (the best combo guard in the league), and Miami is always an attractive destination for the superstars.

What can they offer to the Oklahoma City Thunder? They can offer Goran Dragic and two young players - Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson. That is an interesting offer for the Thunder, because they will get very talented players (J. Winslow and J. Richardson), and they can use them with Victor Oladipo, to create a young backcourt for the future.

Just imagine the best duo in the NBA (center and point guard) in the Miami Heat. They will instantly have a good roster with Westbrook, Whiteside and Chris Bosh.

Miami Heat will have an excellent Big Three against Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors.

Of course, they should sign a shooting guard (JR Smith?), but they will still need a good SF, if they want to play on the highest level. Maybe they could use Derrick Williams, but it's better to use him from the bench.

The future for Sam Presti and Oklahoma City is not so bright, because with Westbrook they will maybe play in the NBA Playoffs, but they can't win against the Warriors and Spurs. They will get an average pick and everything will be the same. They can't win without an another superstar and they can't risk with Russell Westbrook. He is a free agent next summer, and after they lost Kevin Durant, Oklahoma doesn’t want to make the same mistake.
