Predicting The 2020 All-NBA Decade Dream Team

Fadeaway World

Fadeaway World

As we are underway at the start of a new decade, it is natural to look ahead as to which players will be the best players in the league ten years from now. By that time, some of the games best players that we have grown accustomed to will have hung it up, including the likes of LeBron James, James Harden, and Stephen Curry.

Luckily, the NBA is a league that will forever be run by superstar players and this will not change as there are five players who will be the men to take over the league in the next decade. Choosing players that are currently thirty years old and younger, here is the Dream Team for the upcoming decade.

Guard: Trae Young

2019-2020 Statistics: 29.1 PPG, 8.5 APG, 4.5 RPG, 1.2 SPG

Trae Young, at a glance, is already an NBA superstar. His numbers are eye-popping, and he seems primed to take over Stephen Curry as the league's best point guard when Curry calls it quits on his career.

Young already plays like Curry, and his playing style is predicated on shooting and dribbling which gives him the ability to score thirty points and dish out ten assists with practical ease.

Guard: Luka Doncic

2019-2020 Statistics: 28.9 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 8.8 APG, 1.1 SPG

Doncic is already regarded as a top ten player in the NBA, and he is only in his second season. Luka is by far the best player on the Mavericks and he had down the ability to lead a team on his own as he is carrying the Mavs to a playoff spot. Nobody expected them to be this good, and to be fair this is all down to Luka's ability to score and distribute.

Doncic will soon be a top-five player in the league, and it might come sooner than expected.

Forward: Ben Simmons

Simmons is one of the best playmakers in the league, and he is developing his game slowly. The biggest knock on his game is his inability to hit perimeter jump shots, which unfortunately might never change. Simmons is just a unique player, and he does so many things well that it might be time to accept him as he is. Still, in ten years' time, Simmons might have developed a jump shot that will scare the entire league as he becomes a top-five player in this game.

The future is exciting for Ben Simmons, and it is very interesting to see if he can bring a championship to Philly, a city with fans who deserve to celebrate winning an NBA title.

Forward: Giannis Antetokounmpo

2019-2020 Statistics: 30.0 PPG, 12.7 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.1 BPG, 1.2 SPG

Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is already a top-five player in the league, and many regard him as the number one player this season so far. The Bucks are once again the best team in the league, and we have to give Giannis the bulk of the credit for his incredible performances all season long.

In ten years' time, Giannis will likely be the best player in the league and probably on his way to being one of the all-time greats in his position. If Giannis adds a jump shot to his arsenal, the coming decade might bring him an NBA title.

Forward: Anthony Davis

2019-2020 Statistics: 27.1 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 3.2 APG, 2.6 BPG, 1.5 SPG

Last but not least, Anthony Davis will be the best big man in the league for the upcoming decade. Davis will continue to improve his game, and he will be the final piece to the puzzle of this incredible Dream Team.

In the coming decade, Davis will develop a jump shot that is even more legal then it is now along with growth and maturation once he wins a title or two with the Lakers. After all, it is expected that he wins at least one with LeBron James before the latter retires, and Davis will be primed and ready to be the final player to the 2020's Dream Team.
