Zion Williamson Is So Athletic He Can Touch The Top Of The Backboard

2 Min Read

Even though high school basketball sensation Zion Williamson hasn’t played a single competitive college basketball game just yet, the forward may be one of the most exciting prospects in next year’s draft.

Williamson size is almost unmatched at the collegiate level, weighing in at 286 lbs when he first arrived at Duke, which is almost unheard of for a 19-year-old basketball player.

What makes Zion’s game even more impressive — if you haven’t seen his numerous high school highlights on Instagram — is his athletic ability at that size. The kid can quite literally jump out of the gym, and put his bunnies on full display for the world to see in his first pre-season game for the Duke Blue Devils.

As you can quite easily tell, Williamson can get upstairs.

But if you needed any more proof that Zion can jump, just take a look at the freshman jumping as high as the top of the backboard while recording his vertical leap at Duke.

The closest we’ve seen an NBA player come to the top of the backboard was Dwight Howard back in his Orlando Magic days while competing in the dunk contest, and he’s 6’11 compared to Zion’s 6’7 frame.

Duke fans, be prepared for a tonne of posters this upcoming season.
