They say all good things must come to an end. However, we're just not ready to say Cristiano Ronaldo's career is on the decline, as the Portuguese superstar is just too talented and too hard-working to struggle for long.
However, things aren't looking good for Cristiano at Juventus right now, as he's struggled to thrive in Maurizio Sarri's system and has looked uncomfortable and upset over the last month or so.
Hence, former Italian striker Antonio Cassano thinks there's bad blood between Cristiano and Sarri, and claims Juventus are just trying to hide it by claiming they have a strong relationship:
“I think Ronaldo has a big problem with Sarri.Everything started with two consecutive substitutions, which will irritate any player. In my opinion, there’s a problem between them and Juventus are good at keeping it down," the former Real Madrid forward told Tiki Taka.
Also, Cassano criticized Sarri for the way he's dealing with Gianluigi Buffon, as he sent him to the bench following a bad performance, replacing him with Wojciech Szczesny:
“He was always benched at Arsenal and was a back-up to (Manuel) Almunia and (Lukasz) Fabianski. At Roma, he had a good year, while now he is in his first year as a starter. Anyway, right before Gigi’s mistake (vs. Sassuolo), it needs to be said that (Matthijs) De Ligt made yet another error," Cassano concluded.
Let's remember Sarri has always struggled to keep his players in check in the past, with Kepa refusing to be substituted last year when he was still in charge of Chelsea.
Moreover, Cristiano's temper has always been his Achilles heel, so Sarri better finds a way to keep his star happy very soon. before he turns the locker room into mayhem, especially with Antonio Conte's Internazionale outplaying them for the top spot in the Serie A table.
