Following a failed stint at Camp Nou, Denis Suarez is finally bound to take a step forward on his career, joining Arsenal on a loan that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Sports.
Suarez wasn't a part of Ernesto Valverde's plans for the future, struggling to find much playing time as of late, and with the manager confirming that he was, in fact, going to be moved rather sooner than later.
"I know Denis was in this situation. It's not official yet and we have to wait a little. It was a possibility that everyone valued, and we hope that things go well," declared Valverde last week.
Suarez is still quite young and he could take his career back from the ground with the Gunners, as the 25-year-old will provide a much-needed boost in the upper side of Emery's midfield as they try to make a push for a top 3 spot.
The Spaniard will have to compete for his minutes with Alexis Iwobi, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan keeps on nursing a foot injury.
Suarez came to Barcelona with high praise thanks to his playmaking ability and pace-setting skills, but only managed to score 8 goals throughout his entire career as a Blaugrana.
The Catalans are currently sitting at the top of the La Liga table on what seems to be another trophy in the making for Valverde's side.
The Gunners, on the other side, are holding onto the 4th spot of the Premier League table, battling with Chelsea and Manchester United for the last spot in next year's UEFA Champions League.
Notably, Goal reported Barcelona deleted the news confirming Suarez' loan minutes after confirming the news, also stating that Arsenal will pay for his full salary and holds an option to buy him at the end of the season.
