Barcelona To Offer Player Swap For Marcus Rashford

Even though Marcus Rashford's contract with Manchester United is set to expire in 2020, and contract talks have stalled between both parties, FC Barcelona knows convincing the Red Devils to part ways with their wonderkid won't be easy at all.

The 21-year-old has turned a lot of heads ever since making it to United's first team, so Barcelona thinks of him as the perfect guy to carry Luis Suarez' torch once the Uruguayan is done with the team.

However, Manchester United have shown no interest at all in engaging in further talks with the Catalans, claiming the striker is not for sale and that any team interested in pursuing him would have to offload an absurd sum of money. That's why, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana will try to make an offer including either Philippe Coutinho or Malcolm to convince the Red Devils to let go of Rashford. The playmaker has been a long time Manchester United target and the Brazilian has mightily struggled to establish himself on Ernesto Valverde's team, so it looks like a match made in heaven for everybody involved.

Coutinho knows he needs to find more playing time if he doesn't want to lose his spot in Brazil's national team, and he has already thrived in the English Premier League for his time with Liverpool.
Also, with Manchester United most likely set to lose Paul Pogba in the summer amid Real Madrid's interest, they'll be short on playmakers for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's project.

As for Malcolm, the Brazilian is not a part of Ernesto Valverde's plans, but he's shown glimpses of talent when given the chance to prove his worth, and he'd definitely fit United's playing style and could replace Alexis Sanchez, one of the biggest flops of the last couple of years for the Red Devils.
