Barcelona and Josep Maria Bartomeu have been quite active to start this summer transfer window, already securing the signing of Neto to back Ter Stegen, and bringing back Marc Cucurella from Eibar while they're still waiting on some closure over the Neymar situation.
However, the Blaugranas aren't going to sit with their arms crossed while Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain work out on the terms of his departure, as they're reportedly pretty close to completing the signing of another Brazilian standout.
So, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugranas have already secured the arrival of Tailson Pinto Goncalves, a 20-year-old forward that has refused to extend his contract with Brazilian giant Santos in order to be able to take a step forward in his career and join a European club.
Hence, Barcelona would only be obliged to pay Santos for their development rights instead of negotiating a fee as Real Madrid did with Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr earlier in the past.
Also, the report claim Tailson has already received a formal bid to join La Masia for the next three seasons, and he's one of the world's top prospects and diamond in the rough.
Tailson is a great dribbler with a nice court vision and a stunning finisher with both feet, leading Santos' u-20 squad in scoring and drawing a lot of attention from several European giants.
He's unlikely to make an impact on Barcelona's first team right away, especially with Antoine Griezmann's signing. However, he'd be a nice addition for this club going forward considering his youth and already well-built body for a guy his age.
As for Neymar, it doesn't look like Paris Saint-Germain is going to take less than 222 million for his services, so a Barcelona comeback would be more than unlikely as they've offered just around 40 million, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
