The grass isn't always greener somewhere else and more often than not, joining a giant club of the likes of FC Barcelona can wind up being a huge mistake for some players.
That's probably what's on Denis Suarez' mind right now, as the lack of consistent playing time has taken a huge toll on his game, and he wasn't able to live up to expectations when he completed a loan move to join Umai Emery's Arsenal.
Suarez was one of the biggest flops of the season in the English Premier Leauge and considering his lack of opportunities with the Blaugrana, the 25-year-old has openly stated his desire to leave the club in the summer, this time for good.
"What I want is to leave Barca and play. My goal is to stay in the Spanish league. I have been in Barcelona for two months recovering from the injury and nobody from Barca has told me anything," Suarez told Spanish show El Larguero (as quoted by Sport).
Suarez is no longer a part of Barcelona's plans and the team would gladly let him go at the fair price of €20 million, and while he's yet to prove he's worthy of big money, his youth, and upside could be more than enough to convince a club to make a run at him.
Valencia were supposed to be interested in his services, and his great relationship with Marcelino would be more than enough to convince him to join them, even though rumors claimed he rejected a move to Valencia when he joined Arsenal:
"Marcelino is the best coach I've ever had. I speak regularly with him. It's not true that I rejected Valencia. Valencia have never shown any interest in signing me as they are doing now," he claimed.
Atletico Madrid and Celta De Vigo could also make the most of the situation and take a risk with him, but what is clear right now is that he won't be playing for the Cules next season.
