Despite all the comments surrounding Paris Saint-Germain and their reluctance to sell Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr., the relationship between the two parties gets worse every day and now they’re getting to a turning point where there won’t be much to save for any of them. Neymar has been linked with moves to Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, but his club has stated over and over that the forward is not for sale.
Nonetheless, that could be different nowadays seeing the back and forth between Neymar and the team, with the president of the club saying there is no room for ‘celebrity behavior’ on his team due to all the rumors of players wanting to leave the club and others demanding 'special treatment'. He didn’t mention Neymar directly, but you don’t need to think too much to realize those comments were aimed at the former Santos player.
Two years after becoming the most expensive transfer in the world, Ney has been considering his future out of Paris, and according to reports, he already told the club he wants to leave, in an attempt to force a move to Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo reports that PSG boss Thomas Tuchel is not happy by the 'problems' Neymar creates in the dressing room and is not against a potential departure.
"I do not want to play more in PSG. I want to go back to my house, where I should never have left," he reportedly told PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Moreover, according to El Mundo, Lionel Messi has stated he wants to see Neymar playing again with the Blaugrana, even favoring a move for the Brazilian instead of Antoine Griezmann. The report details that the Catalonians would try to 'transfer their existing agreement for Atletico Madrid ace Antoine Griezmann' directly to PSG, in a bid to secure Neymar’s signature.
Plus, Neymar's relationship with teammate Kylian Mbappe is thought to not be the best and that could accelerate his exit of Parc des Princes. The 27-year-old is currently sidelined after getting injured during an international friendly with the Brazilian national side and, with the forward apparently leaving the team this summer, Mbappe has stated he will be part of Les Parisiens next season.
