It looks like Neymar Jr just can't catch a break, but truth to be told, he's not doing much to help his cause either, as he's constantly involved in a lot of controversies.
This time, the Brazilian superstar failed to report to Paris Saint-Germain's pre-season training, and the French club's officials were reportedly livid about the situation and his attitude.
Hence, the French champions have vowed to take actions against their superstar, who's been linked with a move out of the team in the summer:
"This Monday, July 8, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was summoned for the resumption of activities of the professional group of Paris Saint-Germain. Paris Saint-Germain found that the player Neymar Jr did not show up at the agreed time and place, without having been authorized by the Club in advance. Paris Saint-Germain deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it," the club claimed on an official statement.
However, Neymar's father told the media that the club was well aware of Neymar's schedule and that they've let them know a year in advance that the 27-year-old was bound to be delayed this season:
"The reason (for his absence) is known. It was scheduled a year ago, with Instituto Neymar, and we couldn't change it. He will be there on 15th (of July). Simple as that, no big deal. PSG is aware and participates in Instituto Neymar activities," his father told Fox Brazil.
Neymar has openly admitted his desire to leave Parc des Princes in the summer and has acknowledged that he's made a mistake by leaving FC Barcelona to join them a couple of seasons ago.
His deal is set to expire in 2022 and while the club was reluctant to engage in any potential negotiation over him, his rockstar attitude may force their hand to just let him go.
