Chelsea Legend Claims Eden Hazard Deserves To Play For Real Madrid

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard has been Chelsea's best player since he completed a move from French side Lille back in 2012, so there's no wonder why he's been always followed closely by the biggest clubs in the world.

However, it wasn't until now that the winger had really addressed the possibility of leaving Stamford Bridge to take a step forward on his career, with Real Madrid fond of his talents and eager to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu.

Moreover, Chelsea legend Glenn Hoddle actually believes the team should let him go away, as he's earned the right to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world:

“I feel it might be the right time for him personally, not for Chelsea or the Premier League, but for him to go to Real Madrid if that offer is there on the table for him. He deserves to play in that team. They’ve got a re-build going on as well. I personally would love to see him play in the Premier League but I’ve got a feeling he might move," Hoddle told TSN (via Mirror).

Notably, he also acknowledged the fact that the Blues are going to find it quite tough to find a guy capable of filling his shoes once he completes a hypothetical move to Real Madrid.

"Chelsea, at the moment, there’s something missing but without Hazard in the team and all the hope (goes). You take him away from that team at the moment and you’ve got a massive hole to fill. Can you fill it? Probably not. And it’s a real big concern for Chelsea at the moment. And that’s where I think they are at as a club, they’re at a crossroads." he concluded.

Hazard is still under contract for an extra year but he's reluctant to sign an extension with the Blues, so their hands are pretty much tied right now and they know they'll have to engage in talks with Florentino Perez regarding his future.
