Everton must love their star striker Richarlison a lot, as they reportedly turned down a huge offer for the Brazilian frontman from one of the most important clubs in the world.
According to reports, the Toffees rejected an incredible £85 million offer for forward Richarlison from Barcelona.
La Liga champions are without striker since Luis Suarez picked up an injury and have been trying to replace the Uruguayan in the January transfer window. Several players have been linked with the Blaugrana, including Valencia’s Rodrigo Moreno and Inter’s Lautaro Martinez.
Sky Sports have claimed that they had an £85 million offer ready for Brazilian forward Richarlison, but Carlo Ancelotti’s team turned it down, as they want to 'strengthen their squad' and not sell a 'prized asset.'
Richarlison moved to England in August 2017 when he signed for Watford and came with a big reputation from Brazil. He had to make a name for himself since his first days in England weren’t the best. However, he improved his level, becoming one of the most promising strikers in Europe.
Ever since he joined Everton, Richarlison has been great for the Merseysiders. The 22-year-old scored 13 goals last season for the Goodison Park side and has continued his form this campaign scoring eight in the league already and continues to be one of Carlo Ancelotti's most important players.
It is clear that they value Richarlison, but this move could be counterproductive in the future for the player. That’s a big number and not a lot of players in Everton could receive a similar offer right now.
