Filipe Luis Claims Neymar Joining Barcelona Would Be The Best For Brazil

The Neymar Jr situation has gone out of proportion lately, with Paris Saint-Germain opening the door for him to leave but no team willing to meet their financial expectations.

The French team wants to fully recover the investment they did on the Brazilian superstar a couple of seasons ago, with Barcelona interested in bringing him back.

That's why Filipe Luis, his friend, and teammate on Brazil's national team, claimed Neymar joining Barcelona would be the best for Brazilian soccer:

"I want him to finish in Barcelona. At Barca, Neymar is happy. I want him to enjoy and play next to (Lionel) Messi. I hope, for the good of Brazilian football, that Neymar returns to Barca, but I think it will not be easy," Luis told Tiempo de Juego, as quote by Marca.

Neymar has openly admitted that leaving Barcelona was a mistake in the first place and he didn't report to Paris Saint-Germain's training early because of a scheduling issue, a situation that made the team's officials lose their patience on the superstar.

The Blaugrana, on the other hand, already submitted a huge bid for his services by offering Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho plus 40 million, but they weren't interested in any of those players and claim they want at least 222 million.

As for Filipe Luis, he went on to address the James Rodriguez rumors, as the Colombian is reportedly on Atletico Madrid's radar now that Zinedine Zidane doesn't want him at Real Madrid:

"Having a player like James at Atletico would be very interesting, it would not be bad. Whoever comes will help but signing James would be spectacular," he added.

Still, just like Neymar, his situation isn't clear as of yet, with Carlo Ancelotti and Napoli also trying to come to an agreement with Florentino Perez and Real Madrid for his services.
