The world is still completely shaken as Tottenham Hotspur surprisingly sacked Mauricio Pochettino after more than 5 seasons in charge of the team.
Pochettino took a sleeping giant like Tottenham and led them to the top of the world, but the lack of silverware and a shaky start of the season were enough for Daniel Levy to surprisingly part ways with the Argentinean.
Therefore, Harry Kane, Tottenham's captain and one of the closest players to the former boss, sent him a heartfelt message thanking him for all that he did at North London:
"Gaffer. I’ll be forever thankful to you for helping me achieve my dreams. We’ve had some amazing moments in the last five and a half years that I will never forget. You were my manager but my friend as well and I thank you for that relationship. Good luck with your next chapter!" Kane wrote on his Twitter account.
Moreover, Dele Alli also chipped in with a nice message of his own, thanking the man that showed faith in him and discovered him from MK Dons:
“I can’t thank this man enough. He’s taught me so much and I’m so grateful for everything he’s done for me. Good luck and hope to see you again my friend," Alli wrote on his Twitter account.
There will be no shortage of offers for Pochettino, as he was on every single big club's shortlist since the start of last season, including Bayern Munchen, Manchester United, and even Real Madrid.
Tottenham, however, have already appointed Jose Mourinho as their new boss, hoping 'The Special One' can work his magic and give them the title Pochettino wasn't able to.
The Spurs currently sit at the 14th spot of the English Premier League, 11 points out of the top-four, so it'll be interesting to see if Mourinho is the right man for the job right now.
